Ahhhh. Sitting here on this comfortable brown futon, amazed at how quickly this allergy season has snuck up on me. Nonetheless, this weekend was really good to me, quite adventurous. Finished off a very successful lental season and the first thing I did in this new period was have a wonderful breakfast with my Dad. He’s going to be in Nigeria over the next couple of weeks and it’s important that I send him off the right way – cheese eggs, grits, and sausage (pork for him, turkey for me), yummmm. Headed home to clean up a bit for a friend staying over later that night then I headed out Good Friday service with my Mom and a close friend of hers. I heard seven different speakers that day and enjoyed every last one of them. Ran a few errands before I headed out to dinner with a few of my friends at the Thirsty Turtle. We’re of marketing backgrounds, and once all worked together. Without realizing it, we have been meeting for over a year now and I must that I enjoy every bit of our time together. Not long before I was on the move again, heading out to meet one of my dear friends at a poetry event of his that he’s been hosting for quite some time. We haven’t had much time to catch up with one another so it was a great pleasure that I not only got to spend time with him but also see him at work. Not to mention I was able to catch up with his family, who have always played a major role in my life. Still, in Friday, I wrapped up the day with heading to pick up one of my best friends, who was also visiting another close friend of mine (yes, I know, its a lot of “friend” talk), to stay the night at my house. To say I was tired would be an understatement. Unfortunately, my two cats would care very little about that as they ran and ripped through my apartment all night keeping me wide awake. LOL, I’m laughing just thinking about it. The next day, after medicating myself with ZZZquil, I woke up in a foggy mist that I was forced to break through. Again, I and some of my high school friends bought tickets to a Carribean Festival at Rutgers University a few weeks ago and we had to be in by a certain time in order to get access. Barely making it in, I was happy to just relax in this party atmosphere and not feel pressed to do anything I didn’t want to. Hung there a bit and then headed to Buffalo Wild Wings to eat and catch some basketball. My Pistons sucked but the food was great. All in all, a great night. Finished the weekend with the most important event of them all, celebrating my Lord, Jesus Christ, resurrection. A great service had with some great people. I immediately headed home afterward to eat and SLEEP! Now I am here, preparing myself for all that this week will bring. I love you all and most importantly, I love life. Stay Happy People.
