BASFGaming | Driving Digital Adoption Through Play

Role: Project Lead & Event Producer

Year: 2025

Project Description: As Project Lead and Event Producer, I led the U.S. launch of BASFGaming, a hybrid employee engagement experience designed to bring colleagues together across locations through a shared love of gaming while creating an approachable way to explore emerging workplace technologies.

The idea was simple: rather than introduce new technology through traditional training alone, start with something employees already wanted to engage around—gaming. In partnership with Employer Branding and Global Digital Services, we used play, competition and community to introduce employees to tools including Microsoft Copilot and BASF’s Grids metaverse platform in a low-pressure, interactive environment.

The experience connected in-person and virtual employees through hands-on AI activities, gaming stations, Halloween programming, contests and prizes, while also creating opportunities to discover BASF Employee Resource Groups and connect with colleagues across the organization. Following the event, employees were directed to additional AI resources, prompts and community networks to continue learning and engagement beyond the experience.

By bringing together community, culture and technology, BASFGaming demonstrated a different approach to digital adoption—meeting employees around an existing passion and using that connection to build curiosity around new tools and ways of working.
